09/25/2015: Reading Response #1
I was and have finished reading a book titled "Minecraft Mastery". It teaches you about Minecraft, a sandbox construction game involving surviving or building nice structures with an avatar named Steve, and applying the knowledge of making basic and complex systems out of a substance called Redstone, the games tool for making basic and complex electric systems. It also teaches you how to create mods for Minecraft, how to make a server for the game, and enjoy learning about 2 special, already made mods. It introduces qCraft and computerCraft. It finally teaches you how to make 4 modded items: Obsidian Axe, Hardened Diamond, Thorium Ore and Block of Thorium. It is made by Canadians that go by the name of Matt and John Simons.
10/23/2015: Epic Reading Choices
Lately, I have a lot of reading options. At home, I am working on a book called “Saving Houdini”. For choices after that, I have lots. “A World without Heroes”, “The Book of Cheeses”, soon “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Old School” will be a choice too. Online reading sources are fewer though. We use Newsela, Raz Kids and Epic!.

11/20/2015: A Comic is Born!
A couple days ago, I actually created a comic. It is called "Jingle Dancer". It is about a girl who wishes to dance in a pow-wow, a first nations form of dance. It is based off of a actual book of the same name. Anyways, she is aloud dance in a pow-wow, but she has both no jingle dress and hasn't taken dance lessons. She goes to all of the main dancer's house's, but they all have problems. Willingly, they each give her a row of jingles. She and her grandmother sewed the jingles onto her dress. She goes to the pow-wow and dances happily ever after. I got graded on it too. Here is the comments and my grade.
02/12/16: My Reading Reflection (Currently)
I am sorry I have not written a post in a while, so I would like to “start” the year by showing what I have been reading lately. My reflection is below:
The story I have been reading lately is ‘Mr. Lemonchello’s Library’. It is about a boy named Kyle Keeley, who grew up without a public Library until 12 years old. The world’s most famous game maker, Mr. Lemonchello, designs the public library for Alexandriaville. On the opening night, an invitation-only lock-in takes place and Kyle (plus 11 others) are invited in. However, the problem with the library isn’t getting in… it’s getting out! Kyle and his friends must work against the clock to exit within two days and 12 hours. There are 12 clues and they must be put together to escape. Mr. Lemonchello made the library as a full scale game for kids. At the end, Kyle and his friends win the game. There is a prize too, and that is to star in all of Lemonchello’s ads and commercials.
A Piece of the Story:
“These shrimp are good.” Said Kyle’s mom. She reaches out for another bacon-wrapped shrimp. “You have to try these puffy cheese things.” Said Andrew, Kyle’s classmate. “Sorry, but I prefer to eat food I have heard of.” Replied Kyle. “They’re called Parmesan tartlets.” “I think I’ll pass.” “Ladies and Gentleman, I present to you, Mr. Lemonchello!” Said the Announcer. “Thank you, thank you!” Replied Mr. Lemonchello, modestly. “I have to say I am happy to see that you have all attended. It really does inspire me. The winners of my lock-in are as follows, Andrew Peckleman, Charles Chillington, Haley Daley, Akimi, Sierra Wright, Miguel Darnsmen… (can’t really remember the others) and Kyle Keeley. “Yahoo!” Cheer the Twelve kids.
05/11/16: I'm on a roll!
My stories are going really well lately. I am currently on my sequel series to the Chronicles of Steve, the Nevermine Pages. They both include the same main characters, but they have some new ones too. The link to a document with more links to all of my stories are atttached. Please note that they are only short stories, they aren't 400 page books, although I am trying to increase the length of my books. They are Minecraft-based books, but they are unofficial, so I am not breaking copyright or anything like that. I did end up copyrighting my stories, mainly because the very second you write a story, it becomes copyright because YOU created it, so it is YOUR story. Currently, the only people I know that have read my stories are a few classmates and my parents. They like them though, so I'm happy. I will be progressing them for a really long time. If I get my own computer or MacBook soon, I will have my own email and it should be easy enough to continue writing them.
